New Platform Innovation: Dunkin’ Beverages On Tap

As the share leader in iced coffee beverages, Dunkin’ was under attack from other QSRs chains, convenience stores, and local independents. Dunkin’ knew they needed to deliver disruptive change to maintain their leadership position and time was of the essence. Using Agile principles and collaborating with one of the largest dispensers of beer systems in the world, Dan and team prototyped, tested, and rolled out a first-of-its-kind, 8-headed cold beverage tap system in less than six months. The results? Better operational efficiency, improved product quality and consistency scores, and double-digit sales growth in a mature category.
